He was owner and operator of American Garage Builders until 1974, Navy veteran and a member of Landmark Independent Baptist Church also an avid Fisherman.
He is survived by his daughters, Debby Epperson, Barbara Ryan (Vern), JoAnn Pierce (Jim) and Charlotte Ries; sons, Glynn Johnson and Charles Johnson (Tina); 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
His service will be noon on Saturday at the W. G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
