Arthur Miles

Arthur Wayne Miles, 72, of Lufkin, Texas died Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Gipson Funeral Home. We will be having a simple family memorial service to be held at a later date.

Arthur was born January 1, 1951 in Lufkin, Texas to Ozell Lansford and ER Miles. He took great joy in being an over the road truck driver for the majority of his life until he retired in 2009. Arthur was an avid outdoorsman. He loved all things hunting and fishing, he also took a lot of pride in the family he created with his 4 children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Miles of Lufkin, Texas; his children, Nathan and Cindi Miles of Lufkin, Texas, Stephanie Broussard of Lufkin, Texas, Candice Whittemore and James Tipton of Lufkin, Texas, Doddie Foerman of Mabank, Texas; as well as 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; his pup, Sadie; and cat, Frankie, whom all he loved so much.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Devin Scott of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Nona Stanley of Huntington, Texas; mother, Ozell Lansford of Huntington, Texas; stepdad, Nathaniel Lansford of Huntington, Texas; and father, ER Miles of Zavalla, Texas.
