Barbara Ann Cole

Mrs. Cole was born in Turner Town, Texas, the daughter of the late Pearline (Hill) and Horace J. Burnette. She passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Cole graduated from Redland High School, married Carroll C. Cole and started raising her family. She worked for 6 years at the Lufkin State School. She was a Christian, loved her Lord, her family and all her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and watching sports, especially football. Her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. She loved to laugh and enjoyed being with her family and talking with friends on the phone, especially her “sisters”, and they know who they are.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Arthur Miles of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Chet and Debbie Cole of Melbourne, Arkansas; daughter, Susan Cole of Lufkin; grandchildren, Nathan Miles and wife Cindy, Stephanie Broussard, Candice Whittemore, Dottie Foerman and husband Daniel, Nicholas Freeman and wife Jenni, Angela Davidson, Elizabeth Summers, Keenan Cole, Priscilla Cole, and Tabitha Cole; great-grandchildren, Morgan Miles, Riley Miles, Kranissa Broussard, Sara Broussard, Dylan Whittemore, Katie Whittemore, Devin Scott, Madison Yates, McKenzie Yates, Olivia Yates, Annabelle Foerman, Madyson Freeman, Drake Freeman, Brooke Allen, Jacob Collins, Kourtni Collins, Daniel Foerman, Brayden Foerman and E. J. Foerman; great-great grandchild, Hadley Allen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Hoyt and Kathy Burnette and Donnie and Elizabeth Burnette; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Dell Cole; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll C. Cole in 1994; and son, Keenan Cole.

Pallbearers include Robert Cole, Larry James, Greg Harrison, Nathan Miles, Daniel Foerman and Tracy Spencer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
