Services for Bertie Jane Walker will be held at Gipson Funeral Home December 2,2025 at 2:00 p.m. Bro. Bruce Reynolds and Edgar Rogers will officiate the celebration of life for Bertie Jane. Interment will follow at Ben Walker Cemetery in Huntington Tx.

Bertie Jane Walker, 94 of Huntington, Tx was born November 5,1931 and passed away November 27,2025 surrounded by her loving family in a local nursing home. She was the daughter of the late Velma (Davis) and Preston Grimes.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed riding with her husband, Robert, while he was driving his diesel and keeping him company. She also was very involved with church and while attending Little Flock Baptist, she received a award for teacher of the year for 15 years.

Left to cherish her memories are daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Jo and Edgar Rogers, a son Gerald Wayne Walker and Teresa; grandchildren, Jason Walker and wife Jennifer, David Rogers and wife Kim; great-grandchildren, Jace, Karlyn, Asher, Noah and Emerson and 4 great-great grandchildren Also, she leaves behind sisters-in-law, Dorothy Crain and Gay Nell Havard, brothers-in-law, Hubert Beard, Ernest W. Walker and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death, by her husband of 65 years Robert Gerald Walker in 2015 and a sister Betty Beard.

Pallbearers will be Noah Rogers, Asher Rogers, Jace Walker, David Myers, Brent Reynolds and Steve Bryan.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
