Services for Betty Aline Collins Kenemore, 85, of Nogalus Prairie, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Jim McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery.
Ms. Kenemore was born January 29, 1931 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of the late Jimmie Frances (Gay) and Edgar Doyle Collins. She passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Pearland.
Aline was an honest, smart, caring Christian woman with a heart of gold. She loved her children unconditionally, never showing preference, even though they will each tell you that they were the favorites. She was an exceptional woman, always acting selflessly and full of grace. She was always and forever a believer. She encouraged and urged others toward faith and obedience to Christ. Aline impacted all of our lives and influenced us in such a positive way. She helped shape the entire family into the people they are. Our Aline is smart, she is kind and she will always be important. We might have to say a temporary goodbye but she lives on inside of our hearts.
Survivors include her children, Milda Kay Davis, Brenda Gay Dolese, Dedra Lee Dolese, and Janna Lynn Brodt; 3 chosen daughters, Bobbie, Kaye and Lori; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Kenemore was preceded in death by her son, Sammy Dewayne Donnell; brothers, Oscar Collins, Fred Collins, Douglas Collins, and Curt Collins; and sister, Mildred Tullos.
Pallbearers will be Marlin Morris, Don Pate, Joe Phillips, Joe Ed McDougal, Richard Tullos, Clifford Conner, and Keith Collins.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
