Mr. Kuehl was born August 23, 1929 in Gonzales, Texas, the son of the late Miami (Rowin) and Walter Kuehl. He passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in a local nursing facility.
Mr. Kuehl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was retired from Lufkin Industries as a pattern maker. He enjoyed bowling – he and his wife had a husband/wife team and bowled all over the State of Texas for 40 years. They also enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. They would fish for perch or anything. As long as the fish were biting, they were fishing. They didn’t quit until the fish quit biting. Mr. Keuhl served his country with the United States Army.
Survivors include his son, Mike Kuehl of Lufkin; grandchildren, Jerri-Lynn Hogg, Sara Colbert and John David; great-grandchildren, Randy James Procell, Caleb Procell, Karson Colbert, Brooklyn Procell, Kenzie Colbert, and Kendal Colbert; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Bonnie Kuehl of Lufkin; and a number of other family members.

Mr. Kuehl’s family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Sudheer Karnati and his staff as well as the staff of Grace Care Center for the care given to him during his last illness.
