Evangelina Lozoya

Evangelina Lozoya, 81, of Diboll, was born January 28, 1930 in Progreso, Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of the late Damiana (Guajardo) and Daniel Jimenez. She passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Lozoya was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was dedicated to her family. She was a very giving person and loved to help others. Mrs. Lozoya was a very happy person and enjoyed singing and talking with friends. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Diboll, directed by Baldemar Gaitan, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Estefana and Ricardo Martinez of Diboll; daughter, Hilda Lozoya of Diboll; son and daughter-in-law, Rodolfo and Imelda Lozoya of Diboll; brothers, Jose Maria jimenez of Castanos, Coahuila, Vicente Jimenez of Sabinas, Coahuila and Modesto Jimenez of Sabinas, Coahuila; sisters, Maria Del Refugio Guerrero of Diboll, Feliz Jimenez Garcia of Saltillo, Coahuila, Hortencia Jimenez Guajardo of San Juan, Texas and Sofia Jimenez Garza of Sabinas, Coahuila; grandchildren, Diana P. Martinez, Ricardo A. Martinez, Estephanie Martinez, Hilda Olalde, Jose Olalde, Jose Luis Guerrero, Jr., Alejandro Lozoya, Rodolfo Lozoya and Hervey O. Lozoya; great-grandchildren, Ailene M. Olalde, Alejandro Olalde, Jazlene A. Ramos, and Mia A. Martinez-Tamez; and a number of other family members and friends.

Mrs. Lozoya was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rodolfo Lozoya; and brother, Daniel Jimenez.

Pallbearers will be family and friends, including Dionisio Guerrero, Alex Lozoya and Rodolfo Lozoya.

Services for Mrs. Lozoya will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Baldemar Gaitan, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
