Fannie Myrl Knight

Ms. Knight was born February 14, 1922 in Huntington, Texas, the daughter of the late I. O. (Walker) and Edgar Knight. She passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014, in a Montgomery nursing facility.

Ms. Knight worked for Weingarten’s in Houston for 34 years and retired at the age of 62 from insurance claims. She lived in Beverly and Gary’s home for 14 years and was a true member of their family and household. She loved her family. She was a great seamstress and made drapes and clothing. She enjoyed traveling. She was a devout Christian and had a great love for the Lord. She served as the organist for Lindale Assembly of God in Houston for years. She was a member of Ark Family Church and a member of DAR.

Her immediate family were her niece and nephew-in-law, Bevery and Gary Perkins of Montgomery and their 4 children and spouses, Jana, Gary Jr., Nathan and wife Katie and Ashley and husband Dana and Beverly and Gary’s grandchildren, Hayden, Elissa, Hadleigh, Chris, Kaleigh, Carter, Kaylee, Taylor, Skylor and Danen; nephew, Jim Knight and wife Joy of Houston; niece, Stormy Blake and husband Alan of Colorado; nephew, Richard Knight and wife Brenda of Magnolia; nephew, Michael Knight and wife Blanca of Huffman; a number of great-nieces and nephews; and her 12-year-old Dachshund Ginger Rogers.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Knight was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed and Allen Knight.
