Feliciano was a hardworking and devoted family man who spent many years employed as a Heavy Loader Operator with Georgia Pacific–Corrigan, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. He took pride in providing for his family and working faithfully each day.
A man of deep faith, Feliciano was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Cursillista. He treasured time spent with his loved ones and found great joy in family gatherings. He enjoyed swimming, visiting the casino, and never passed up an opportunity for a little gambling and laughter with those he loved most.
Feliciano shared more than 50 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Juana Sarmiento. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Sarmiento and Bascilia Garcia.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juana Sarmiento; his children, Brenda Ramos, Rene Sarmiento, Richard Sarmiento, Perla Sarmiento, and Marisol Alvarez; his grandchildren, Victor Ramos, Iris Fidone, Alexis Sarmiento, Britney Sarmiento, Riley Sarmiento, Ryan Sarmiento, Richard Sarmiento, Karina Sarmiento, Leilani Sarmiento, Jose Herrera, Angelica Herrera, Yvette Herrera, Alyssa Alvarez, Xavier Alvarez, and Isabella Alvarez; and his great-grandchildren, Mason Kessinger, Addyson Kessinger, Nevaeh Hernandez, Mila Sarmiento, Rosalee Sarmiento, Richard Sarmiento, and Adelynn Alvarez.
He is also survived by his siblings, Patrocinio Sarmiento, Sofia Padilla, Ellena Herrera, Maria Munoz, Juana Sarmiento, Pedro Sarmiento, Altagracia Padilla, Estela Sarmiento, Feliberto Sarmiento, and Alfredo Sarmiento.
The family extends special thanks to Hospice in the Pines for the compassionate care and kindness shown during Feliciano’s final days.
Pallbearers will be Victor Ramos, Riley Sarmiento, Ryan Sarmiento, Richard Sarmiento, Jr., Jose Herrera, and Xavier Alvarez.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gipson Funeral Home in Lufkin, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Diboll. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Feliciano will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for life, and the deep devotion he held for his family and faith. His presence will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
