Was sorry to hear about Frances but GOD was ready for her to come home    Prayers are with you guys

Well I just wanted to share a memory of an entry in a journal Moma was doing for me. The entry said tell me a story that your parents shared with you about your toddler years. Moma wrote, "My Grandmother (MaMa) told me that when I was 3 yrs old it came a big snow storm and I was standing at the window saying (its flat coming down), that sounded like I heard it from my grandmother.
   I was really a traveler when I was a toddler. MaMa and I would catch the train at Silsbee and ride it to Kountze. Uncle Harold would pick us up from the train station. We would visit them for a few days, then catch the train back home. my early years i spent alot of time with my grandmother, even stayed with her and went to school."

Frances Marie was my grandmother. I dont know much about her early years before her kids, before her marriages, and even before she left home. But I do know about her later years,when she did get married,and when she did have kids. Her kids are my two aunts Trisha and Debbie and my mom Gwenda. My uncle,Anthony Wells. My cousin's and I were over at mawmaw and pawpaw's almost every day when we were younger (we might as well have lived there). I even remember when she had the black berry bush's growing up by the house. She used to have me and Jessica go and pick her some then bring them inside and she would make pies with them. I remember so many good times we had. we used to take the water hose and we would make mud pies in the water and mud. Then on rainy days she would let us play out in the rain.

I would like to say a few things about my mom. You will have to all bear with me. I will try to get thur this. 
   My mom was kind and sweet very firm when she needed to be.  She had a huge heart and it went out to alot of people. Everyone here knew she loved her family, and friends became family to her.  She taught us family is everyhthing when you have nothing else in this world you have family.  For some of us my mom was your friend, someone you could share your intermost secerts with and knew it was as tight as Fort Knoxs.  
   She was my best friend.  For some of us she was our christian sister. When I was a little girl and went to  church I felt a strong need to go to the front and give myself to God, I didn't know what that meant until way later in life in a small room at Morgan and Assoc. with Bro. Freddy, Me and God , but when I was small I went to the front and that night I was to be baptized.  Well when mom found out she redeidicaed her life to God , that night and we were baptized together.
   When I was young I thought my mom loved my brother more than the rest of us, and we have carried that joke on into adulthood.  We always pick at him and mom about it.
   My mom had the ability to love all of us in just the right way we needed to be loved.  Anyone who knows me knows my personality can be like lightning just ask my kids, when they are still standing there stund moma never missed a beat.  She understood me, the thing I will miss the most about my mom and me is she knew me like no one else knew me.  When I walked in a room she knew how or what to say to me or not say anything just hold me.  You see she was like a super hero to me she could change her cape faster than superman.  You see it was not always peaches and roses around our house me and moma had fights, you might say I can't beleive that you faught with your mom, well yes we did.  I asked her one time , Moma Why are you so hard on me? You don't do that with the others.  She told me you can take it, I said What do you mean Moma?  She said you are like me you are my strong one, if I said those things to the others they would fall to pieces.  Then she said, I know at the end of the day you and I are ok! And we were.
   One time someone ask me why do you always say I Love You before you hang up the phone, I asked them how else do you do it?  My mom might have never said hello or this is moma but at the end she always said ,I LOVE YOU!!
   I LOVE YOU MOMA!

once in a lifetime a very special woman comes along who touches your heart deeply & unforgetably,this was you,frances you will never know how much joy you brought to my life.you were always there to help me & love me.you may not have gave birth to me but in my heart you will always be my mother,you taqught me so many vauable lessons,you showed me how to be a great mother,daughter,wife,sister,ect.losing you has left a gigantic hole in my heart,because no one could ever fill it,you are so special & loved its really hard to find all the words to do you justice my mother my best freind.im so glad to have had you in my life for as long as i did,i just wish that you could have stayed forever.my daddy really picked a winner in you,i thank god for that.you could have turned your back on me 7 not went that extra mile for me but you didnt,you always made me feel loved as a daughter as only you could have,you not only touched & changed my life but also my husband,daughter,7 grandbabys.i hope your not suffering anymore and god is happy having his finest angel home,till we meet agin i will hold you in my heart & thoughts forever mom i love you im hurting so very much without you.your devoted & loving daughter sara

We Miss You Moma!

I would like to thank Frances first for giving me such a good man that I have called my husband for 16 years.  She taught Anthony to always put his faimly first and this is something that he does very well.  I am glad that she got to see our children and see what a good father he is.  Frances is more than a mother-in-law to me , she was like a second mom or best friend.  We have spent alot of time together mainly in the car.  I would always pick her upon MWF from diaylsis boy am going to miss those fries from Zest-E-Burger.  And yes Debbie I know the secert, that you and Frances tried the fried green tomaotoes with out me but Frances said they weren't that good so serves you both right or maybe she told me that to make me feel good.
I just want to share a few funny stories with everyone, when I was having Peyton in the hosptial I was in full blown labor when Frances comes in and says to me" Peggy I think I need my insulin" I said," well let me finish this up and I will help you"  That day it was only suppose to be Anthony and I in there but things change my mom, my sister, and Frances wound up in there, I found out that Peyton is the only grandchild she has seen being born natural.  I am so glad that my son was born into a room filled with so much love.
Another story which is still my favorite , If anyone knows me I LOVE April Fools Day, so this time I was calling Uncle Calvin from Frances house and told him all this stuff that Anthony had been arrested because the truck we just bought was stolen and I didn't know what to do!  Frances goes crazy and starts yelling, "What do you mean Anthonys been arrested? We have to go get him right now! Get off the phone and lets go!"  I just looked at her and died laughing.  After telling her April Fools she just sat down and wouldn't even look at me, she was so mad!  After sitting in silence for awhile I finally said "well serves you right for eaves dropping like that".  We just both busted out laughing.  That was my favorite April Fools Day ever because I got her and wasn't even trying.
Last but not least I just want the girls to know that I have the word for word receipe for your momas dressing and I ain't giving it up!  Even the part when your mom said "add chicken broth" and I said,"How much?". She said,"until it looks like my dressing" so I put on the card add chicken broth until it looks like your momas dressing!
The memory that I will hold close to my heart is that Frances loved to pick with people and loved to laugh.  I am going to miss that sound so much.  You don't know how many times during this that I have had to stop myself because I would think "I can't wait to tell Frances about this" or "When Frances finds out".
I didn't get to hold her hand or sit by her bed while she was in Houston like most of times when she was in the hospital.  So when I found out she was coming to Lufkin I was so happy that I literally ran over someone trying to home, not my fault mind you, but I will say that my Honda Odessey really did have a 5 star crash rating.  My daughter Ashlyn who is almost 4 likes to tell people, "Mommy ran over Charlie's truck" because it happened in front of Charlies Truck Stop.
I was so glad that I got to be close to Frances those last few days, I even sent my husband out on Christmas Eve with both my children to find me a Elvis Christmas CD because I always played it for her at Chirstmas while we were driving back and forth from diaylsis or doctor appts.  After 5 stops he finally found one, when I turned it on and "Blue Christmas" started playing she got this big smile on her face, I said,"What did you think I forgot our tradition?"  That smile will be with me forever.  
I have gained a second mom , 3 sisters (who really fight with me like true sisters do) but I adore.  I know that when I start missing Frances I can just look at each one of them and know that there is a little bit of her in each one of them and lets not forget a wonderful husband.
Thank You Frances for all the laughter and tears.  I will miss you so much and will always love you!

Dear Family of Frances - My thoughts and prayers go out to you in the loss of this wonderful lady.   I love her dearly.   When we were high school age, we used to go horseback riding often.   We would ride the back roads off FM 1122 in Silsbee, which in those days were dirt roads.   I have so many wonderful memories of Frances and her horse and our rides.   She knew how to handle a horse.    She was good at everything she did.   May God comfort each and every family member.

I am so very sorry to hear of Francis's passing. When I spoke to you last, you had mentioned she was sick.
Francis was special to me. She was indeed a wonderful person.  I did anxiously await a call from her. Know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am only a phone call away.

Gwenda I am so sorry for your loss. We will be praying for you and your family. I know it is hard and that there is nothing anyone can say to help. However if you need to just talk or cry know that I am here for you. We love you all and want you to know that we are here for anything you need during this time and that you are all in our prayers.
