Frances Tucker White Lewis Tucker Fairchild

Services for Frances Tucker White Lewis Fairchild, 96, of Diboll, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Bobby Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Fairchild was born January 17, 1917 in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of the late Mary (Reynolds) and Samuel Tucker. She passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in a local nursing facility.

Mrs. Fairchild was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, camping, fishing, bluegrass music, and Old Gospel music. A special shed was especially built to gather her music friends for their jam sessions. Mrs. Fairchild was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church and the Lufkin Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughter, Melba Loraine White Watson and husband Don of Houston; son, Charlie Richard Lewis and wife Della of Hudson; daughter, Paula LaNell Ondruch and husband Walter of Freideck; son, Jackie Lewis and wife Sheila of Diboll; brother, Paul Tucker and wife Joyce of Sam Rayburn Lake; sisters, Ruby Gruchner of Palestine and Geraldine Belote of Lufkin; 15 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and loads of friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fairchild was preceded in death by her husbands, Harflee White, Richard Erwin Lewis and James Garland Fairchild; daughter, Syble Joyce White Smith; granddaughter, Sonya Janell Halverty; sisters, Doris Tucker and Jessie Crawford; and brother, Clinton Tucker.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Lewis, Richard Lewis, Jeremy Lewis, Matthew Richey, Oscar Giamolva and Ricky Wall.

Mrs. Fairchild's great-grandsons and great-great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
