Francisco Rivera

Francisco was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Army, serving as a Captain in Vietnam. He loved fishing, reading, golf and photography. He especially loved spending time with his family. He loved his colleges, Cal-Poly, Texas State, and his high school, Moody High School.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Rivera from Broaddus, TX; three daughters, Lisa Rivera from McAllen, TX, Vikki Lopez and husband Adrian from Corpus Christi, TX, and Kristi Rivera Sanchez from Corpus Christi, TX; son, Erik M .Rivera from Point, TX; two step daughters, Heather Scavo and husband Dominic from Broaddus, TX, and Amanda Hollan and husband Robert from Ingleside, TX; grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Anthony, Abby, Amanda, Angel, Leann, Madalynn, Samantha, Erik M. Rivera Jr. “EJ”, Bobby, Brennen, Charlize, Samuel, Olivia, Taylor, Alyssa, and Tayven; friend James Sabo from Ingleside, TX; sister, Mona Rodriguez from San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lisa Villagomez; and brother, Albert Villagomez.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
