Gladys Mimi Marie Buffalo Nash

Funeral services for Marie (Mimi) Nash, age 94, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Gipson Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Jimmy Hedges officiating. Graveside services will follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Nash was born November 22, 1922 in Bryan, TX to the late Wiley Emery and Nettie Irene Buffalo and died May 4, 2017 in Lufkin.

Mrs. Nash lived most of her adult life in Lufkin and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 60 years. . She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved the Lord. She loved her sweet tea, chocolate pie and could shop with the best of them.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Nathan Terrell; grandchildren, Wendy and Adam Terry, April and Phillip Richard and Jonathan and Jennifer Terrell, all of Diboll; great-grandchildren, Drew Richard, Luke Terry and Jacey Terrell, all of Diboll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life for 65 years, her husband, J. V. (Tamp) Nash; numerous brothers; and sister, Deleta Thorn.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 516 Montrose, Lufkin, TX 75901 or Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank, Lufkin, TX 75904.

Honorary pallbearers are Gene Childress, Joe Simmons, Marvin Slusher, Micho Hales, James Wash and W. A. Dempsey.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Gipson Funeral Home.
