Henry Belle "Hennie" Sturrock

Services for Henry Belle "Hennie" Sturrock, 84, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, with Chaplain Gary Godwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sturrock was born August 8, 1928 in Angelina County, Texas, the daughter of the late Belle (Bruce) and Henry Gresham. She passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

Mrs. Sturrock was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from Red Ball Motor Freight, Consolidated Freightway and Axley& Rode. She also helped to raise foster kids for over 25 years. Mrs. Sturrock was a member of Redland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Sturrock Martin and husband Tray of Central; brother, Bobby Gresham and wife Martha of Hudson; sister, Mary Duke and husband Kenneth of Lufkin; grandchildren, Danial Martin, Ashley Martin and Amber Milstead; great-granddaughter, Chloe Martin; special friends, Bernice Weisinger and Mary Lynn Neal; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sturrock was preceded in death by her husband, Ferris Sturrock; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
