

Services for Hunter Justus, 17, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church, with Principals Karen Shumaker and Kris Whisenant officiating. Interment will follow in the Aldredge Cemetery.
Hunter DeWayne Justus, 17, of Lufkin, was born September 12, 1997 in Lufkin. He passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Lufkin.
Hunter loved hunting and fishing. He was a very loving, outgoing person. He loved being in communication with his friends and family. If he wasn’t chatting with one, he was chatting with another. Hunter was the manager of the Central High School Varsity Basketball Team.
Survivors include his grandparents, Sherry and Phillip McCaa of Lufkin; grandfather, Mike Justus of Lufkin; brothers, Scottey Brumley, Christopher Cole Justus, and Patrick Justus, all of Lufkin; sister, Brandy Justus of Lufkin; uncles, Josh Justus and wife Susan and Hunter McCaa, all of Lufkin; aunt, Hillary Rivera and husband Albert of Lufkin; mother, Rhonda Klem of Lufkin; great-grandparents, Mary Oliver of Lufkin, Myrtle Ware of Oklahoma, and James (Bobo) and Ruth Ann McCaa of Wells; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family members; and special friends, Omar Barrientos and Becca Carrell.
Hunter was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Michael Justus in 2007.
Pallbearers will be Cole Justus, Patrick Justus, Albert Rivera and members of the Central High School Varsity Basketball Team.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
