Funeral services for Jean Warner, 92, of Pollok, will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Brewer and Bro. Keith Bickley officiating. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Warner was born February 13, 1930 in Diboll, Texas, daughter of the late Effie A. Jones and Carl A. Kennedy. She passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved cooking pies, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a gentle spirit. Jean was a longtime member of Pollok Baptist Church and also attended Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Toni Warner of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Randy Brewer of Nacogdoches; son-in-law, Stephen Childress of Pollok; grandchildren, Brian Warner, Dwayne and Amber Childress, Heath and Chelsey Brewer, Heather and Robert Berry; great-grandchildren, Austin Brewer, Kenzie Warner, Brianna Warner, Luccasey Brewer, Conley Brewer, Cabela Brewer, Westin Childress, Haylie Jo Childress, Colt Childress, Hayes Berry; sister-in-law, Marcia (Warner) Jones of Lufkin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Warner; brothers, C.A. Kennedy Jr. and W.C. Kennedy; sister, Virginia Abney; and daughter Lynn Childress.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon at the funeral home.
