Services for Jack A. Carnley, 91, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cole Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Carnley was born December 9, 1926 in Pleasanton, Texas, the son of James Carnley and Leona J. Davis. He passed away October 30, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mr. Carnley was a loving husband and father. He loved fishing, hunting and raising pigeons. He enjoyed making walking canes and reading books. He was a member of Huntington First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Marie Windsor; daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Dale Allen and Jackie and Cole Farmer; brothers, Leo and Jimmy Carnley; sisters, Velma Rash, Margaret Glover, Carolyn Welsh and Era Kornegay.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carnley is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Carnley; brother, Albert Carnley; sisters, Joyce Warner and Thelma Wingate.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Brown, Chad Wilson, Edward Glover Jr., James Morgan, David Reynolds and Robby Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
