James Walter Gipson

James was born May 2, 1949 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the son of the late Edna (Henderson) Fay and James Douglas Gipson. He passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 in the Woodlands.

James enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed driving around and eating breakfast at different places during his drives.

Survivors include his sons, James Howard “Bubba” Gipson and Shelby Lee Gipson; step-daughter, Kathy Ann Giselman; step-sons, Andrew Brent Giselman and Michael Leron Schultz; grandchildren, Stephen James Luman, Joshana Michael Luman, Chloe Luman, and Elliana Lynn Luman; sister, Linda Fay Fountain; brother, Johnny Nelson Parker; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded by death by his wife, Mary Lynn Gipson (1985); daughter, Janet Lynn Luman (2019); and his parents.
