Joe Lynn Baker

Memorial services for Joe Lynn Baker, 69, of Diboll, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Interment will occur at a later date in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mr. Baker was born July 25, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Baker was raised in Waltonville, Illinois and moved to Houston, Texas in 1963. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Houston in 1964 and then attended the University of Texas. He owned Baker Pest Control for 39 years in Diboll. Joe served in every office for the East Texas Pest Control Association and served on the state board of Texas Pest Control Association.

Survivors include his wife of 43-½ years, Sue Rowe Baker; sons, Gregg and wife Sylvia of Owassa, Oklahoma, Bradley and wife Laura of Lubbock, Todd and wife Christine of Golden, Colorado, Sam of Diboll; grandchildren, John and wife Patricia of San Angelo, Cade of Golden, Colorado, Jo Lynn and Walker of Diboll and Caleb of Lubbock; great-grandson, Calvin of San Angelo; brother-in-law, Marvin Rowe and wife Kate of Santa Fe, New Mexico; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Men’s Class at Southside Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Diboll Pilot Club for the Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 384, Diboll, TX 75941.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church.
