Joy Perkins Wells

Mrs. Wells was born November 2, 1936 in Wakefield, Texas, the daughter of the late Pearlie (Linton) and Claude Perkins. She passed away at her residence in Montgomery, Texas, on January 20, 2013.

She was a loving and caring woman with a genuine smile. She always went out of her way to help others in need, even when she was in need herself. Her faith in God was her first and foremost priority and her love for her family following in a close second.

Survivors include her son, Kenneth W. Wells and wife Sheila M. of Montgomery, Texas; daughter, Marian Y. Wells Barton and husband Dennis F. Barton of St. Clair, Missouri; and son, Roger D. Wells and wife Leslie of St. Clair, Missouri; grandchildren, Kristopher W. Wells, of Montgomery, Texas, Dustin L. Wells and wife Amanda N. of San Antonio, Texas, Philip M. Wells of Montgomery, Texas, Joshua A. Wells and wife Dallas D. of Montgomery, Texas, Matthew D. Barton and wife Kate of St. Charles Missouri, Kimberly N. Barton Long and husband John of St Clair Missouri, Meghan R. Barton Romanoskie and husband Mike of St. Clair Missouri, Nikki Fawn Wells and fiancé Kyle Attaway of Porter, Texas, Roger D. Wells II of Porter, Texas; great grandchildren, Cameron J. Long of St. Clair, Missouri, Kyle A. Wells of San Antonio, Texas, Aeris M. Wells of Montgomery, Texas, Kiylyn N. Long of St. Clair Missouri, Sarah M. Wells of San Antonio, Texas, Sloan R. Romanoskie of St. Clair, Missouri, Ashton T. Attaway of Porter. Texas; brother, Perry R. Trahan and wife Mary Beth of Bullhead City, Arizona; and sister, Jo Andrews of Kansas City, Missouri.

Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sheila Dale Wells; brother, John Moore Perkins; and sisters, Betty Ann Vest and Doris Walker.

Pallbearers will be Kristopher W. Wells, Matthew D. Barton, Dustin L. Wells, Philip M. Wells, Joshua A. Wells and Roger D. Wells II.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time Friday at Gipson Funeral Home.
