Judy K. Capps

.Judy Capps, 70, of Diboll, was born January 11, 1940 in Macomb, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edith Marie (Whelchel) and Wright McKinley Hough. She passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Capps was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with them. She enjoyed dancing at the V.F.W., fishing, yard work, playing dominoes, and helping her husband run the Brisket House in Diboll. She also enjoyed baking cookies for her family and friends, especially her famous strawberry pie.

Survivors include her husband, J. T. Capps of Diboll; daughter and her significant other, Diana Garrow and Anthony Hein of Muscatine, IA; daughter and son-in-law, September Francine and Tommy Grover of Paducah, KY; daughters, Rose Davis and Earlene Hazel, both of Boise, ID; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Brad Bryant of Cibolo, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Kelly Dennis of Muscatine, IA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Paula Hough of Moline, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Eddie Courtney of Diboll; brother and his significant other, Jerry Hough and Bonnie of Albuquerque, NM; and numerous other nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and good friends.

Mrs. Capps was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Patricia Ann; brother, Bud Hough, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Brad Bryant, Tony Hein, Dustin Bryant, Andrew Babcock, Alec Babcock and Wendell Capps.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Dulaney, Shawn Dulaney, Mont Hough, and Rob Hough.

Services for Mrs. Capps will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Wayne Rice officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielders Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday evening at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
