He was born on July 31, 1948, in Zavalla, Texas, to Jesse Ray Havard and Catherine (Cameron) Havard. He was a proud graduate of Lamar College in Beaumont, Texas.
Throughout his life, Kenneth was known for his strong work ethic and love for the land. He worked as a welder, rancher, and farmer, and was deeply involved in horse and dog training. His passion for cattle, horses, ranching, coon hunting, and fishing was matched only by the joy he found in working with animals—especially his favorite dog, Chuck.
Kenneth is survived by his son, Brad Havard, and daughter, Christi Havard, both of Lufkin; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his sisters Carolyn Houston and husband Fred and Delores McFadden and husband Craig; and close friend, Gary Simpson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Ray and Catherine Havard; and his nephew, Johnny Wayne Davidson.
Kenneth was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and will be remembered for his deep ties to his community and unwavering dedication to his family and ranching life.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Concord Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas.
