Lonnie Eugene Stone

Memorial service for Lonnie Eugene Stone, 66, of Lufkin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel.

Lonnie was born December 6, 1956 in Lufkin, T.X., son of the late Ruth (Griffin) and Travis Stone. He passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 in a local hospital.

Mr. Stone enjoyed being with his grandkids, hunting, fishing, and taking the RV to the beach with Belinda and lifelong friends. In 1993 he placed 2nd in the McDonalds Big Bass Splash.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Jessi and Ben Reel of Bullard; son and daughter-in-law, Clint and Brittany Stone of Granbury; fiancé, Belinda Warren of Lufkin; grandchildren, Scarlett Reel, Beau Stone, and Ruthie Reel; sister and brother-in-law, Jody and Stanley Anderson; niece and husband, Amy Anderson and Thomas Hungerford; great-nephew, Clark Hungerford; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; lifelong friends Norman and Melody Dickey; and extended family, Michael Shane Martin, and Christopher Cody Pyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Brady Stone.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. Reception to follow the service.
