Known for her easy laughter and joy of life, Maggie loved people. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
On January 17, 1942, Maggie Frances Capps married George Ander Driskell. They had two daughters, Margaret and Sandra. George and Maggie had been married 60 years, when George passed away May 7, 2002.
Maggie was a charter member of the Herty Baptist Church and an active member of the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) for many years. She was a devout Christian who loved Jesus. She had a gift for caring for the sick, was an excellent cook and believed in the importance of loving others and offering hospitality…which she did with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. As the Sears seamstress, she helped others beautify their homes with the quality custom drapes they purchased at Sears.
