Marie was born August 25, 1946 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of the late Zilla (Dennis) and Odis Wilson Owens. She passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 in a local hospital.
Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, family member & friend. She graduated from Central High School and Angelina College. In her professional career, she was an insurance agent. She was active in the community, classroom mom, PTA president, coach & the first ever woman on the Central ISD School Board.
She mama’d every kid she came across. She was a “give the shirt off her back” kind of person. Before and after her foster mom days, she took in and loved not only children but many adults as well. She undoubtedly changed lives and touched many hearts. Together, Marie and Earl loved their family and recently celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary.
Marie was an encourager, a prayer warrior, an attitude adjuster, and a defender. She will be greatly missed.
