Martha Nell Logan Sanches

Funeral services for Martha Nell (Logan) Sanches, 70, of Lufkin, will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 22, 2010, at Chestnut Drive Baptist Church in Lufkin with Brother Bob Lewis and Brother A. H. "Blackie" Cranford officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sanches was born February 12, 1940, in San Augustine, Texas and passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Ruel Logan and Nellie Azalea Logan; brothers, Charles Edward Logan and Cecil Lowe and son, Melvin Logan Taylor.

Mrs. Sanches retired from Atkinson Candy Company after 22 years of faithful service. She was a member of Chestnut Drive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Danny C. Sanches, of Lufkin; daughters, Rena Kratz and husband, R.J, of Broaddus; Pamela Logan, of Nacogdoches; and Teresa Loving of Nacogdoches; sons, Timmy Loving and wife Darlene, of Magnolia; Terry Loving and fiance, Barbara Torres of Houston; Mark Matchett and wife, Jana of Huntington; and Kenneth Sanches and wife, Janis, of Pollok; step-daughters, Faith Marie Bentley and husband, Eddie of Lufkin; and Patricia Bauer and husband, Russel of Alto; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers for Mrs. Sanches are Bo Bryan, Lynn Bryan, Justin Matchett, Jake Matchett, and Donald Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Atkinson Candy Company.

A visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.at Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home, 412 East Shepherd, Lufkin, Texas.
