Michael was born August 12, 1957 in Lufkin, Texas, son to the late Helen (Blaker) and Jimmy D. Christie. He passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Kennedy Health and Rehabilitation.
Mr. Christie was a resident at the Lufkin State Supportive Living Center for more than 40 years. He was a very outgoing person at the school. He enjoyed swimming at the lake at the school, and in his younger years, he most enjoyed the yearly egg hunt. Michael also enjoyed watching his Disney movies and going to Chick-fil-A
Survivors include brother, Mark and wife, Cindy Christie of Lufkin; and numerous other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
