Robert Chapmon

Robert was born April 19, 1926 to Zuela (Hill) and Elza Chapmon.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Dewey Chapmon and wife Cheryl; daughters, Janice Harrison and husband Jack, Tammie Hodges and husband Joe; sister, Rona Long; grandchildren, Brittni Miles and husband Justin, Brianna Moore and husband Brandon, Rhonda Chapmon, Michael Chapmon and wife Liz, Angie Abdulla and husband Sarok, Jennifer Torres and husband Steve, Brittany Bradshaw and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Brycen, Brynton and Bryna Miles, Lezlie Moore, Mandy Chapmon, Megan Michie and husband Brad, Bazi and Amani Abdulla, Sierra (Torres) Phillips and husband Austin, Steve and Joseph Torres, Keylee, Brynlee, and Lucas Bradshaw; great-great grandchildren, Bristol and Brylee Michie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert was a member of Falvey Memorial Methodist Church of Wells. He served in the United States Army and was in Germany for his 19th birthday. After years of service, Robert retired from Lufkin Industries.

The simplest of pleasures brought joy to Robert. He loved animals and truly enjoyed hunting and fishing, and the great outdoors.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 51 years, Pauline (Chapman) Chapmon; parents-in-law, Guy and Alma Chapman; brother, E W Chapmon; sisters, Charlene Long and Mary Adams.

A service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery Tabernacle in Wells on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Bro. David Goodwin will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Chapmon, Michael Latham, Justin Miles, Brandon Moore, James Pillows and Kenny Hunt.

Honorary pallbearers are Edward Chapmon, Bobby Adams, Billy Ray Adams, Bobby Long and Billy Joe Creekmore.
