Mr. Camp was born August 7, 1950 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Gracie (Tull) and Lester A. Camp. He passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 in a local hospital.
Mr. Camp was a self-employed carpenter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed hunting and watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys, which was his favorite team. Mr. Camp was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Rosie Brown of Diboll; daughters, Deloris Gail Camp of Conroe, Katie Rebecca Camp of Alaska, Ashley Virginia Camp of Iowa, Sherry Hicks of California, and June Taylor of Huntington; sons, Dean Simmons of Marshall and Amos Simmons of Lufkin; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Camp was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Camp.
Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
