Roy Franklin Risinger

Roy married his wife, Mary (Goodner) Risinger on July 13, 1973.

Roy loved playing with his grandchildren, He also enjoyed working in the yard and on his cars. He especially enjoyed listening to good preaching and Christian music. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Goodner) Risinger; his mother, Priscilla Verdean Risinger; son, Mark Risinger and daughter-in-law, Jaqueline (Smith) Risinger and their children, Benjamin, Alyson, and Katherine Risinger; son Jason Risinger and daughter–in- law, Susan (Minefee) Risinger and their children, Calvin, Ella, and Olivia Risinger; brothers, Eddie and Billy Risinger; and sister, Jane (Risinger) Leach.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Priscilla McClure, Vernon Johnson, Clarence and Lizzy Risinger.

Services for Roy Franklin Risinger will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with visitation prior to the service 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Pastor Larry Maddox will be officiating. Pastor Kent Wilson of South Drive Baptist Church in Channelview will present the eulogy, and the music will be provided by Karen Wilson. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery in Huntington, Texas.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
