Shirley Lee Still of Diboll, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 16, 1942, in California to Alice and Earl Hayes, Shirley grew up in Riverside, where she graduated from high school.
In 1968, she married the love of her life, Malcolm Still. They shared a joyful marriage until his passing in 2002. That Christmas, her son Bud gifted her a trip to Memphis to visit Graceland—Shirley was a lifelong Elvis fan, and it was one of the happiest days of her life.
Shirley found joy in simple pleasures—coloring, drawing, playing bingo at the nursing home, and most of all, being a devoted mom and grandmother.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Rodney “Bud” Still, Ronnie Still, and Melissa Hopson, as well as two cherished grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
