

Services for William Glenn Hendry, 90, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Leonard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
Mr. Hendry was born March 15, 1925 in Dubach, Louisiana and passed away March 5, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was the son of the late Beulah Bertha (Davison) and Earl William Hendry.
Mr. Hendry was a devoted father and loving grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Champion International Company where he worked in quality control. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include son Marlin and wife, Barbara Hendry of New Braunfels; Thomas and wife, Debbie Hendry of Blanco; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Leonard Brannon of Dallas, Barbara and John Trimble of Houston and Kerry and Steve Moses of Tyler; grandchildren, Andi Trafton and husband, Justin Robicheaux, Lorrie Wilde and husband, Eddie, Kimberly Koserowski and husband, Phil and Richard Soffar; great-grandchildren, Braden Huckabee, Weston Wilde, Abbigail Wilde and William (Liam) Robicheaux; brothers, Leon Hendry, Melvin Hendry; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, James Hendry, Raymond Hendry and Elton Hendry.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
