Winifred Marie Colwell

Mrs. Colwell was born May 10, 1923, the daughter of the late Maggie and Charles Powell. She passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Embrey of Morgan’s Point; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Rick Swanson of Humble; sister, Bobbie Broussard of Zavalla; daughter-in-law, Lynn Colwell of Bay Cliff; 8 grandchildren, April Embrey, Bruce Embrey, Jr., Dean Embrey and wife Cindy, Shon Embrey, Robert Embrey and wife Peggy, Chad Colwell and wife Maggie, Megan Arledge and husband Wayne, and Beau Colwell and wife Jeneka, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Colwell was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Colwell, son, Charles Colwell; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Embrey, Jr., Dean Embrey, Robert Embrey, Chad Colwell, Beau Colwell, Wayne Arledge.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
