Darrylwanna "Darryl" Querone Whitten Sr.

Darrylwanna Querone Whitten, Sr., known to most as Darryl, 47, of Evington, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. He was the husband to Sharon Kola Whitten. Born on February 17, 1972, in Manhattan, NY. He was the son of Julius and Flora Whitten, and the son-in-love to Frank and Rosie Kola, whom he loved as second parents. He was a graduate of Harry S. Truman High School and then attended John Jay College where he studied Information Technology. He was a supervisor at Tessy Plastics for 5 years and was a member of Family Life Church. He loved all things technology from computers to video games. He enjoyed spending weekend date nights with his wife and having family time at home. He was a dedicated family man who held many talents whether it was helping in the family restaurant, giving advice to family and friends, or just simply being there for those he cared for. In addition to his wife and parents, Darryl is survived by his son, Darrylwanna Jr. (Raven) and two daughters, Shanelle and Brianna; one sister, Shakera, one brother, Osmond Crawford (Cassandra); three nephews, Zachary and Quincy Crawford and Dwayne Scott; one niece, Samara Cole; two bonus family members, Toni Conner and Mark Jenkins; and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Family Life Church on Timberlake Road.
