

Mrs. Alice M. (Whitney) Hudson, 92, of Peabody passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. She is the wife of the late Retired Lynn Firefighter Charles E. “Charlie” Hudson.
Alice was born May 20, 1927 in Marlborough. She is the daughter of the late Noah and Doris (Conrad) Whitney. She was a resident of Lynn for many years before moving to Salem and Peabody. She was a graduate of Edison High School in Miami Class of 1944.
Alice worked as an Assembler at Hycor in Woburn for many years until her retirement in 1987.
She enjoyed knitting. Alice was a former member of Lake Shore Park United Methodist Church, Wesley United Methodist Church and Broadway United Methodist Church.
Alice is survived by her two daughters Donna Saxonis and her husband Paul of Lynnfield and Cheryl J English and her husband Michael of Peabody. Her brother Curtis Whitney of Marlborough, her 4 grandchildren Susan Stellato, Beth Saxonis, Eric English and Paige English. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Michael Stellato, Vincent Stellato and Michael Seaton as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her loving husband Charlie and her parents, Alice was predeceased by her sister Virginia Niland.
Alice’s visiting hours will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 12:00-2:00 PM. There will be a prayer service at 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Northeast Animal Shelter via websites listed below.
