Barbara A. (Bangs) Rizk, age 95, of Salem, NH, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Saleem Rizk with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Born in Peabody in 1929, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Helen (Welch) Bangs.
Barbara grew up in Peabody, graduating from Peabody High School. She raised her family in Lynnfield and worked for General Electric, Lynn Public Schools, and Eastern Bank. She volunteered for Cub Scouts and PTA meetings. Barbara enjoyed baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
Barbara was the devoted mother of Paul Rizk and his wife Mary Jean Nevils of Swampscott and Lori Kuegel and her husband Ed of Salem, NH, the sister of Frank Bangs and his wife Evelyn of Saugus, the wonderful grandmother of John, Elizabeth, Taylor and her husband James, and Riley, the great grandmother of Brooklynn and McKenna and the aunt of Ruthy, Robert, and Rita.
A Graveside Service will be held for Barbara on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11:00 am at Willow Cemetery, Summer Street, Lynnfield. Please meet at the main gate.
