Beatrice A. Girard

Beatrice Allison (Wood) Girard, age 90 years, Bea was born on April 28, 1920 to Allison Cecelia (Davies) Wood, and Leslie Warren Wood. She graduated from Lynn Classical High School, in 1938, and graduated from Burdett College in 1940. She is survived by her three children, Col. Richard Wood Girard and his wife, Jan and their daughter Rebecca from Anchorage, Alaska, Allison M. Sutton and her husband Francis from Lynn, with whom Bea made her home, and Curt E. Girard and his son Justen, and great granddaughter Aubrey, and great grandson Jacob from Gloucester. Bea is also survived by her brother Harold Davies Wood of Lynn and his wife Nance, and two sons Bruce and Barry. Also her brother Leslie Arnold Wood from Lynnfield and his two daughters Dr. Leslie Ann and her husband Dr. Victor Bentingana from Indiana, and their two sons Victor and Aaron, and his daughter Mary Ellen Wood of Lynnfield. Bea was the sister of the late Virginia D. Powers, and sister-in-law of the late Mary Wood. She is also survived by her niece Leslie Allison Kilgore and her husband Skip. Service Details: Bea's funeral will be held at the Parker Funeral Home 35 Franklin St. Lynn on Thursday at 10:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions in Bea's name to Pace 9 Buffum St. Lynn 01901, a placed where Bea spent many hours.
