

Born in Lynn on August 25, 1954, he was the son of the late John P. and Doris (O’Brien) O’Shea of Lynn. He was a lifelong resident of Lynn and a 1972 graduate of St. Mary’s of Lynn.
Brian was a loyal employee of UPS. After a thirty-six year career, he was scheduled to retire as a District Manager at the end of this month.
Brian spent much of his youth golfing at Happy Valley in Lynn where he developed a passion for the game. He was also an avid lover of the sea – both fishing its waters and enjoying its beaches. Bo loved the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics & Bruins.
Brian is survived by his beloved Aunt Rita (O’Brien) & Uncle “Billy” Murphy of Lynn as well as his Uncle Tom & Aunt Gloria O’Shea of Nahant. “Deda” was a devoted father to Michael Patrick of Barrington, RI, Meghan Kathleen of Boston, MA, John Christopher of Falmouth, MA and Colleen Elizabeth of Falmouth, MA. He was a loving brother to Sharon O’Shea Carpenter & her husband Sam as well as a wonderful uncle to Brian & Gwen Carpenter, all of Westport, CT. He is also survived by many cousins and loyal friends.
His funeral will be on Friday, Feb. 26 at 9AM from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Brian’s name may be sent to the Mass.
