Catherine V. Bedard

Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident of the City, she was the daughter of the late James and Annie (Mahoney) Barry. She graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1946. She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

In addition to her husband, Catherine is survived by her children, Robert R. Bedard of Lynn, Maureen C. Gilleberto and her husband Paul of West Peabody and the late Carol M. Butler of Lynn. She was the mother in law of Robert Butler of Lynn. She was the loving grandmother of Katie Thornell and her husband Todd, Michael Gilleberto and his wife Jennifer and Jenny Shirley and her husband Patrick. Catherine is the great grandmother of Tynan Thornell and Noah and Max Gilleberto. She was predeceased by granddaughter Liane Gilleberto. She was the sister of Anne Ruth and her late husband James, the late John V., Cornelius, James, Edmund, Mary Barry, and Eileen Andrews. Catherine was the sister in law to Pam Barry of Lynn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Catherine’s family would like to thank the professionals and staff at Life Care Center of the North Shore for their kind and compassionate care.

Catherine’s funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30AM from the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church Lynn at 10:30AM.
