
Mrs. Catherine R. Gardner, age 81 years, of Danvers, formerly of Lynn and Peabody, died Monday Oct. 25, at Beverly Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Gardner, with whom she spent 58 years of marriage. Born in Ferris, Illinois she was the daughter of the late John and Leona (Ashe) Harris. She attended schools in Ferris and graduated from Carthage High School, Class of 1947. Mrs. Gardner owned and operated Mrs. G's Ice Cream on Lynnfield St. in Peabody for over 15 years, she also operated the Dairy Castle on Route One in Saugus from 1985 - 1989. She is survived by two sons Robert G. Gardner, Jr. of Peabody, James M. and his wife Chris Gardner of Peabody, two daughters Cynthia and her husband Edward Feeley of Lynn, Michelle L. Perry of Peabody, one brother Lloyd Harris of Brownsville, TX, four grandchildren Keri Gaudet of Manchester, NH, Shawn E. and his wife Tracey Feeley of Plaistow, NH, James M. Gardner, Jr. of Peabody, Amie L. Perry of Peabody, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Service Details: Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 10:00 AM in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park to which relatives and friends are invited to attend.
