Catherine Theresa Lundergan

Mrs. Catherine T. (Travers) Lundergan, age 77, of Lynn, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem. She was the beloved wife of Paul Lundergan. Catherine was born in Medford to the late Lawrence and Ann (Thomas) Travers on January 1, 1937. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lynn.

Catherine enjoyed sharing time with her family and friends - her laugh was like none other. Catherine took great pleasure in contributing generously to countless charities. She had also been employed as a waitress at the Sheraton Ferncroft Hotel in Danvers for many years.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared fifty-six years of marriage, she is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Johansen of Peabody and Nancy Lundergan of Danbury, CT; two sisters, Margaret Piccola of Nahant and Ann Travers of Lynn; one brother, James Travers of Dunstable, one grandson, Ryan Paul Johansen ~ the light of her life. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother-in-law of the late David Johansen and the sister-in-law of the late June (Witham) Travers.

Catherine’s funeral service will be private. A Celebration of her Life is being planned for a later date.
