Catherine C. Mitrano

Catherine C. (Silva) Mitrano, age 69 of Stoneham, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted mother of Tyla Mitrano, Royal Mitrano and Dyani Davis.

Born in Cambridge to the late William and Barbara (Pease) Silva. Catherine grew up in Somerville, graduated from Simmons University, and later raised her family in Somerville. She worked for the Cambridge Department of Public Works. She enjoyed creating various forms of art, making jewelry, thrift shopping, watching all of her favorite tv shows, and most of all spending time with her children and family in the comfort of her home.

Catherine was truly an angel on Earth. She was known best for being an astute voice of wisdom and reason, incredibly supportive, downright hilarious, smart as a whip, artistically talented, her gorgeous smile, infectious laugh, immense strength, and above all else the profound way she loved so deeply and selflessly.

Catherine is survived by her loving children Tyla Mitrano, Royal Mitrano and Dyani Davis; her beloved grandchildren Rayla, Riverlee and Rylee Mitrano, and Isaiah and Ivy Green; her siblings Cheryl Clarke, Barbara Smyth, and William Silva, Jr.; and her cherished cats Phoebe and Joe.
