

Sunny was born in Lynn, daughter of the late Gary and Anna (Skropski) Peters. She was a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of Saugus High School, Continental Beauty Academy, and Carol Nash Modeling School.
Sunny was a hostess for many years at the Hawthorne restaurant in downtown Lynn in addition to being a published poet.
Sunny is survived her daughter Sheryl A. Santry-McGee and her husband Shawn of Georgetown, her daughter in law Sheila Santry-Savia and her husband Paul Savia of Rochester NH; her eight grandchildren Kelly Carter, Marianne McGee, Shawn Patrick McGee, Erin McGee, Mary Santry, Alexa Ray Santry, Edward Santry, Jr, and Eileen Santry; her twelve great-grandchildren Brianna, Aidan, and Logan Carter; Savannah and Leah Rando; Justin Jr., Nicholas, Westley Schwartz, and Noah, Jayden and Hunter Merrill; and Gabriel Santry.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son Edward Santry, her brother Gary Peters and her sister Lucille Gleason.
Friends and family are invited to attend Claire’s visitation on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 17 Grove Street, Lynnfield from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Assumption Church. Interment will be in St. Josephs Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Claire’s name to the Northshore Animal Rescue League in honor of her love for all animals, especially her cat “River”.
Claire’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful, loving & caring Nurse Practitioner, Nurses and Nursing aides that looked after Claire at the Rosewood Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody.
