David Robert Grafton

David Robert Grafton, 75, of Lynn passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Salem Hospital. He was born in Winchester, Mass. to the late George Edward Grafton and Olive Ann (Hill) Grafton. He was the beloved husband of Claire (Scully) Grafton.

He grew up in Stoneham, Mass. and attended Stoneham High School. David was a dedicated Livery Driver, attending to executives in Boston as well as children with special needs. He often chauffeured family members for special events.

He enjoyed to the fullest, music of the 50’s and 60’s, knowing the artists and the lyrics. He loved his large family and all the family parties/cookouts in Stoneham and Wakefield.

David and Claire enjoyed many adventures aboard the big and beautiful cruise liners.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, George Jr., (Tim) Grafton of Stoneham, his sisters, Mary Ann Grafton of Stoneham, Justine G. Holdsworth of Belchertown, Louisa M. French and her husband, Donald of Whitinsville, Ellen M. Wright of Bath, NH Frances M. Miller of Wakefield, his brother-in-law, Michael Scully, his sister-in-law, Cathy Scully, 20 nieces and nephews, and 41 great nieces and nephews.

Besides his loving parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Cecelia M. and her husband, Jan van Loon, his brothers, Leo John Grafton and Joseph P. Grafton, his sister-in- law, Cathy Ray Grafton, and his brothers-in-law, John C. Holdsworth and Kenneth Miller.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in the Cuffe McGinn Funeral Home in Lynn from 9:30-10:30am with a Funeral Mass at St Pius V Church in Lynn at 11am. Burial will follow in St Joseph’s Cemetery in Lynn.
