David W. Gunderman

David W. Gunderman, 59, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, passed away on April 10, 2020. He was born in Saugus on August 17, 1960 to the late Maurice A. and Mary C. (Cole) Gunderman and David was the high school sweetheart and devoted husband of Kathy (McNeil) Gunderman.

He was the loving father of Davia Gunderman and stepfather of Bruce Morin of Lynn; the beloved brother of Alisa A. Werner of Lynn, Erich J. Gunderman of Lynn, Lynnemarie Gunderman of Laconia, NH, and the late Gary Krallis; the treasured son-in-law of Don and Betty McNeil; the dear brother-in-law of Ellen Gunderman, Kelly Bourgeois, Rick and Susan Cawlina. David is also survived by his several nieces and nephews and many treasured friends.

A truly selfless man, those who had the pleasure of meeting him knew him as a gentle giant. He was known for being the kind of man that would give you the clothing off his back to help someone less fortunate. With a big heart, great sense of humor. David always knew how to make everyone around him laugh and smile. He loved to be social and make friends with everyone in the room. David loved to talk and get to know the people around him. You knew that you were going to have a great time and have a good conversation. Under the big brave exterior, he was the kindest gentlest soul you would ever meet, who was never afraid to show and tell everyone how much he loved and adored his mother and his family. David dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Arrangements: Friends and family are invited to call at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St., Lynn, MA, on Monday, July 13th from 9-11am with prayers at 10am. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery Lynn, MA.
