David LaCava

Mr. David LaCava, age 69, of Lynn, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Mass. General Hospital, Boston. He was the loving husband of Linda R. (Graham) LaCava, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, and a lifelong Lynn resident, he was the son of the late John and Ruth (Fairbanks) LaCava. He graduated from Lynn English High School and was a member of the Lynn Senior Band.

David was a licensed general contractor and auto mechanic. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a counter clerk at the Lynnfield Post Office.

He was very involved in the art of Bonsai, and had won many awards at the Topsfield Fair. He enjoyed cooking, camping and fishing, and loved music. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and his special pal Ruth-Ann.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a son Anthony LaCava and his companion Jennifer McGinn of Lynn, a brother John LaCava and his wife Sallie of No. Carolina, a sister Catherine Page of Saugus, three grandchildren Alex Lynne, Anthony and Kaylee, and many nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1PM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 11AM to 1PM, prior to the service.
