
She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary Ellen (Walsh) Donahue. She was a lifelong resident of the City. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grammar School, Breed Junior High School and Lynn Classical High School Class of 1945.
Eileen worked as a purchasing clerk at the General Electric Company River Works for over 40 years until her retirement in 1990. She previously worked at the GE Credit Union, Payroll Department and the GE Insurance Department.
She was a member of the Local 201 IUE AFL CIO, the AARP and the eye opener bowling league at Lucky Strike. She was a long time communicant at Sacred Heart Parish.
Eileen is survived by many nieces and nephews including Michael Donahue, William Donahue and Joseph Donahue. She is the sister of the late George W., Leo E., and James J. Donahue and the aunt of the late Maureen DeAngelis and Robert Donahue.
Eileen’s Funeral will be from the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 MAPLE STREET LYNN Friday at 8:00AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church at 9:00AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be Thursday from 6-8PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
