Emma Gardiner

Emma Lizzie Gardiner, of Hampstead, NH, formerly of Salem, died Friday January 30th at her home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Gene Vincent Gardiner with whom she shared 30 years of marriage.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Edna (Camet) Roads, Emma attended Salem schools and graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1966. She was employed as an Office Administrator, for Osram in Danvers for several years, and at All Care VNA for many years until she retired in 2015. Emma enjoyed going camping, fishing with her husband at their camp in East Wakefield, NH, Bingo, sightseeing in the White Mountains and along the Kancamagus, also in Naples, ME. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter Crystal Ann Jones of Atlkinson, NH, one granddaughter Emersann Jones Bunnell, her sister Judith Bozarth of Danvers. She was also the mother of the late Richard Emerson Jones.

Her visitation will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St, Lynn, MA on Monday, February 9th, 2026 from 10:30 AM - 12 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 12 PM.
