

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Nehemiah and Lydia Jane (Russell) Hicks. She was a graduate of the Lynn Schools and spent her entire life in Lynn lovingly with family and neighbors.
Florence’s passion was a homemaker and housewife her entire life. She cooked, sewed, knitted, and loved her garden. A favorite past-time was her Greeting Card sending, never missing an occasion for birthdays and holidays. The Post Office loved her lifelong donation in postage!
Her later years were spent with her sister, Evelyn, never missing a day of phone calls, dinners, celebrations, movies, touring, and vacationing planned by her niece Helen, who was the chauffeur. Florence had a great love of family, a value that will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves 3 daughters, Joyce Selesky and her husband Roger of Hampstead, NH, Carol Liguori and her partner Arthur J. Arnold, Jr. of Lebanon, PA, and Christine Bianchi and her husband Moe LeMay of Dover, NH; 6 grandchildren Anne and James Selesky of Hampstead, NH, Darryl Liguori, Esquire of Harrisburg, PA, Kyle Liguori and his wife Jennifer of Nazareth, PA, Brian Belkas of Dover, NH and Heather Brander and her husband Marc of Chester, NH; and 2 great grandsons, Andrew and Cristian Brander of NH. She was the sister of Fred Hicks of Danvers and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Evelyn Garrett, Dorothy Tirabassi, and Anne, Edward, William, Robert, Alan, and Phillip Hicks.
Florence’s Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. LYNN on Monday at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation prior to the Service beginning at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
