Frederick P. Robertson

Mr. Frederick P. Robertson, age 70, of Lynn, died on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Judith A. (DiBona) Robertson, with whom he shared 39 years of marriage and was looking forward to celebrating their 40th anniversary on July 5, 2013.

Fred was born in Lynn, a lifelong resident of the City and attended Lynn Trade. He was the son of the late Howard L. and Virginia M. (Schultz) Robertson.

He worked as an Inspector and previously a Press Operator for General Electric Company in their Wilmington and West Lynn Plants retiring due to ill health. He was a bar manager at V. F. W. Post 507 Lynn for over 10 years.

Fred enjoyed his family above all, but his second love was camping at Sunset Park in Hampstead, NH, where he and his wife shared a seasonal camp site with their children for over 30 years. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially poker and pinochle.

He was the father of Deborah Robertson of Lynn, Michael Kirtland and his wife Audra of Lunenburg, Steven Kirtland and his wife Stephanie of Lynn, Frederick P. Robertson, Jr. of Malden, and Matthew Robertson and his girlfriend Kerri of Lynn, the brother of Howard L. Robertson, Jr. and his wife Linda of Winthrop, George R. Robertson and his wife Barbara of Stoneham, and Richard J. Robertson and his wife Eileen of Lynn. He was the grandfather of Raymond Robertson, Dantai Robertson, Janna Robertson, Alexandria Kirtland, Ariana Kirtland and was eagerly awaiting the birth of his sixth grandchild. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

His funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday 4-8PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
